Meet Kathie
Hi, I am Kathie Butts.....probably the most important thing for you to know about me, is that I absolutely know Bitterroot Valley real estate. I am committed to sharing my expertise with you regardless of you being a buyer, a seller, or a co-professional in the industry. I love the Bitterroot Valley and that makes it fun and easy to share it with you. I like to explain that buying and selling real estate is a process - it's not an event. By the time we work through that process we will know each other much better....the process should be pleasant and fun!
One common trait that seems to be shared by most of the folks who live here is a love and appreciation of the outdoors. The Bitterroot enjoys access to millions of acres of wilderness, US Forest Service land and Montana State land. The recreational opportunities are endless. You'll discover the people are super friendly here. You will meet people who share your outdoor passions and they will happily direct you to the resources you need. If you are a fly fisherman or fisher gal, I've got you covered. I love to fish and I am in the perfect business to be able to feed that passion while still answering my phone! The Bitterroot River is a dandy fishery. No planted fish and all of the communities that belong to the Bitterroot Valley understand and are committed to keeping our water clean and our forests pristine.
I give back to my community by volunteering. I am on the Board of Directors for the Bitter Root Humane Association and the Bitterroot Valley Board of Realtors. Getting involved is a great way to meet people and the people in the Bitterroot Valley are worth meeting!

Kathie Butts Biography
A true professional and responsive advocate, Kathie’s extensive experience is appreciated by buyers and
sellers alike. Kathie has learned the business from the bottom up and has the added benefit from having
been a licensed assistant to two of the Bitterroot Valley’s most productive agents. She has been engaged
“full time” in the industry since receiving her sales license in 1993 and has the skills to satisfy even the
savviest real estate investor. Co-professionals, clients and customers consistently refer to her “can do”
attitude and Herculean work ethic.
Kathie and her husband, EJ, own a residential construction corporation specializing in custom and luxury
log homes. They enjoy all aspects of the mountain lifestyle and as often as possible like to share fishing,
camping, hiking or winter sports with friends and family. Kathie is an avid bow hunter.
